Wythnos/week 8: 22-28 Medi/September 1914

Neges oddi wrth G.G. Fairholme, Prif Ysgrifennydd y Gymdeithas Frenhinol er Atal Creulondeb i Anifeiliaid yn amlygu dioddefaint ceffylau ar faes y gad. Hanes am un o longau cyntaf yr Almaenwyr a gipiwyd, y ‘Prinz Adalbert’.  Roedd y ‘Corfflu Hedfan’ yn cael hwyl arbennig o dda ar gasglu gwybodaeth am y gelyn.  Yn Aberystwyth, gofynnwyd i’r fwrdeistref roi llety i 1,000 o wŷr o Fataliwn Dinas Birmingham.

A message from G.G. Fairholme, Chief Secretary of the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals raising the plight of the horse in the war effort.  The tale of the capture of one of the first German ships ‘Prinz Adalbert’.  The ‘Flying Corps’ were having great success collecting information on the enemy.  In Aberystwyth, the borough was asked to billet 1000 men from the Birmingham City Battalion.
