Wythnos 39/Week 39: 27 April-3 May 1915

[English below]

Sonnir am ddigwyddiadau yn nes at adref yr wythnos hon – yng Nghofnodion ac Agendâu Bwrdeistref Aberystwyth cofnodir Dirprwyaeth i’r Swyddfa Ryfel gydag apêl daer am sefydlu gwersyll yng nghyffiniau’r dref.

Cynhaliwyd cyfarfod o’r Cydbwyllgor Sefydlog yn Neuadd y Dref, Llambed nos Fawrth, 20 Ebrill, 1915 a phenderfynwyd caniatáu i aelodau o’r Heddlu ymrestru heb golli eu cyflog, ac y byddai’r Cyngor Sir yn talu’r diffyg o ran cyflog a lwfans y fyddin.

Events recorded are more localised this week,- in the Aberystwyth Borough Minutes and Agendas there is a record of a  Deputation to the War Office in an urgent appeal for the establishment of a camp in the vicinity of the town.

In the Standing Joint Committee held at the Town Hall, Lampeter on Tuesday, the 20th of April 1915 it was resolved that members of the Police Force would be permitted to enlist without loss of pay and that army pay and allowance would be made up by the County Council.
