[English below]

Yn y golofn ‘Pell ag Agos’ mae yna sylwadau ar ddiwedd streic y glowyr ar ol iddynt dderbyn gwell amodau, e.e. cyflogau cyfartal i’r  halwyr nos a dydd.

Bydd yna cofrestriad cyffredinol i bawb rhwng 15 a 65 oed i ddarganfod sut y gallant gyfrannu at yr ymgyrch i ennill y Rhyfel. Amcangyfrir y bod y Rhyfel yn costio dros 3 miliwn y dydd i’r wlad.

The ‘Pell ac Agos’ column this week comments on the end of the coalminers strike after ensuring 7 privileges such as equal pay for both night and day hauliers. The ‘Turk’ is losing ground in the Dardenelles.

At home there will be a general registration of everyone between the age of 15 and 65 in order to ascertain what they can contribute to the war effort.

It is estimated that the war costs the country over 3 million pounds a day.

There are 3 Cardiganshire casualties. Edward Wilmot Vaughan’s cousin, Charles Davies also fell.
