Wythnos 63/Week 63: 13-19 Hydref/October 1915

[English below]

‘Pell ac Agos’,- gweler cyfeiriadau i’r diwrnod recriwtio ar y Dydd Sadwrn blaenorol; absenoldeb Mr Lloyd George yn angladd ei gyfaill y Parch. Evan Jones, Caernarfon; diddymiad y stamp dimai; y Senedd yn torri i fyny am wythnos o wyliau ond yr ildia Mr McKenna y trethi bwriadedig ar hetiau a gwydr.

Mae’r golofn ‘Local and other war items’ yn parhau a’r newyddion am filwyr unigol a sut y maent yn dod ymlaen tra fod Mr J. Phillips yn cyfeirio llythyr i Mr Llewelyn Williams ynglyn a ffurflenni cofrestri a  chenedlaetholdeb.

Mae’r heddlu yn cyflwyno petisiwn am Fonws Rhyfel.

Ac yn olaf mae Henry John Ballinger o Aberystwyth yn cael ei ladd yn y ffosydd yn Loos.

The ‘Pell ac Agos’ column this week has references to the previous Saturday’s recruitment drive; the possibility of keeping the halfpenny stamp; Parliament breaking for a week’s holiday; an update on the fighting, and amongst other things the reaction to the previous week’s budget,- no price rise in hats!

‘Local and other war items’ continues to report on individual soldiers and how they are faring whilst Mr J. Phillips addresses a letter regarding registration forms and Welsh nationality to Mr Llewelyn Williams, K.C., M.P.

The Police Sergeants and Constables of Cardiganshire petition for a War Bonus.

Finally 19 year old Henry John Ballinger dies in the German trenches at Loos.
