Ceir rhestr o rhai sydd wedi eu hanafu yn y Cambrian News ac y mae Mr R. Jones, Prospect Place, Llanbadarn yn derbyn y newyddion fod ei fab, Preifat Evan R. Jones wedi ei ladd ar faes y gad.

Ceir adroddiad ar wasanaeth coffa i’r diweddar Capten Kemes Lloyd, etifedd teulu’r Bronwydd yn y Cardigan and Tivyside Advertiser.

Ni dderbyniwyd unrhyw wybodaeth am Mr Ithel Jones, Gwynfa yng Nghei Newydd. Roedd Mr Jones ar fwrdd yr S.S. “Astora” pan ei thrawyd â thorpido yn Môr y Gogledd.

Mae Maer Aberystwyth yn galw cyfarfod o’r cyngor cyfan i ystyried sut i gario allan y cynnig dylai cofgolofn parhaol cael ei godi er cof am y rhai a aberthodd eu bywydau yn y rhyfel.

Mae Mrs S. Jones, 47 Stryd y Bont, Aberystwyth yn derbyn carden bost gwasanaeth yn y maes oddi wrth Jack yn ei hysbysu ei fod yn iawn ac y mae J. Islan Jones yn derbyn llythyr arall oddi wrth Alf Hunter yn ei hysbysu fod pencadlys Sgwadron 36 yn nawr wedi ei leoli yn Newcastle.

Yn gynwysiedig yn y lluniau yr wythnos yma mae un o’r morwr Y Gynnwr Stephen Owen o Ystrad Meurig a ymladdodd o dan y Llyngesydd Jellicoe ym mrwydr Jutland.

Ymddangosa hysbyseb ‘Rowntree’s Elect Cocoa’ arall,- y tro yma yn rhif 3 o gyfres y “Women Workers”.

Local casualties are reported in the Cambrian News and Mr R. Jones, Prospect Place, Llanbadarn receives the news that his son Private Evan R. Jones has been killed in action.

The memorial service to the late Captain Kemes Lloyd of the Bronwydd family is reported in the Cardigan and Tivyside Advertiser. 

New Quay, and no news has been received regarding Mr Ithel Jones, Gwynfor who was on board the SS. “Astora” which was torpedoed in the North Sea.

The Mayor of Aberystwyth calls a meeting of the whole council to consider how to carry out the resolution that a permanent memorial should be raised in commemoration of those who sacrificed their lives at the call of duty.

Mrs S. Jones of 47 Bridge St, Aberystwyth receives a field service post card from Jack informing that he is quite well whilst J Islan Jones receives another letter from Alf Hunter  informing him that 36 Squadron Headquarters is now based in Newcastle.

Photographs include that of Ystrad Meurig sailor Gunner Stephen Owen who fought under Admiral Jellicoe in the Jutland engagement.
