Daeth newyddion i law fod y Capten Ben Jones Davies, mab hynaf Mr a Mrs Griffith Davies, Albion House, wedi marw.

Mae’r Sarjant D. J. Davies o Aber-porth wedi cael ei anafu ond mae’n gobeithio dod gartref cyn bo hir.

Mae’r Preifat J.D. Jones yn ymweld ag Ysgol Genedlaethol Tregaron ac mae hanner diwrnod o wyliau i Ysgol Fabanod Ffordd Alexandra er mwyn i’r staff a’r disgyblion gael gweld arddangosiad ‘Yr Wythnos Arfau’ yn Rhodfa’r Môr.

Mae Nyrs J.A. Payne ar ran Ysbyty’r Groes Goch Aberystwyth wedi cael caniatâd gan y Maer i agor ffos ar y traeth ar gyfer tanysgrifiadau at Gronfa Gychod ar gyfer y cleifion ond mae angen trwydded.

Mae Dai’n ysgrifennu llythyr o Ffrainc at ei ffrind Dai yn Belfast i ddymuno’r ‘Pob lwc’ iddo’. (Llun o David Morgan Jones, Carlton, yw hwn ac mae naill ai o anfonwr neu dderbynnydd y llythyr. Yn Llan-non oedd y Carlton mae’n debyg.

News is received in Llandyssul of the death of Captain Ben Jones Davies, the eldest son of Mr and Mrs Griffith Davies, Albion House.

Sergeant D. J. Davies of Aberporth has been wounded but hopes to be home soon.

Private J.D. Jones visits Tregaron National school, and a half holiday is granted in Alexandra Road Infants School in order that staff and pupils may witness the ‘Weapons Week’ demonstration on the Marine Parade.

Nurse J.A. Payne on behalf of the Red Cross Hospital Aberystwyth has been given permission by the Mayor to dig a trench on the beach for subscriptions to a Boatfund for the patients but must obtain a permit.

Dai writes a letter from France to his friend Dai in Belfast wishing him ‘Heaps of luck’. (The photograph is of David Morgan Jones, Carlton and is either of the sender or recipient of the letter. Carlton is probably in Llanon).
